F1 2013 Sao Paulo - Brazil Track Update

A new track update of  Interlagos Circuit - Sao Paulo, Brazil for F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters. Full sponsor and tarmac update.

Sebastian Vettel wants to end the Formula 1 season with a record win, while Red Bull team mate Mark Webber would love to call time on his 12-year grand prix career with a final victory – and this is just one of a myriad of farewells which is set to turn the weekend in Brazil into a tearjerker.

Finale in Brazil set to be tearjerker weekend of farewells and uncertain futures.

There can be only one winner of Sunday’s season-ending race at the ramshackle amphitheatre that is Sao Paulo’s Interlagos circuit, but the outcome may not be quite as predictable as recent form would suggest.

Williams-bound Brazilian Felipe Massa will race for the last time for Ferrari, after being with the Italian team since 2006, while the V8 engines will scream one last time before the new era of turbocharged V6 units is ushered in.

Whether it will also be the end of Ross Brawn’s time as Mercedes team principal, or a farewell for various drivers currently unsure about their futures, will be decided further down the road.

Mexico’s Sergio Perez will be in the cockpit of his McLaren for the final time in a race that will also mark the end of the team’s partnership with mobile phone operator Vodafone.

Pastor Maldonado, who last year ended Williams’ win drought, is also departing and seeking new pastures along with a bundle of Venezuelan petro-cash for a race seat.

At Lotus Kimi Raikkonen has already departed and though Heikki Kovalainen has replaced his fellow Finn, there is no guarantee that he will be racing in a black and gold car next year.

Neither Sauber driver is assured of a race seat next year with the team, although Nico Hulkenberg has impressed enough to almost be guaranteed a place on the grid next year. But it is not certain that the talented German will remain with the Swiss outfit.

At Toro Rosso Daniel Ricciardo will be driving one last time for the Faenza squad, as he has been promoted to the Red Bull ‘senior’ team where he will partner Sebastian Vettel.

Yet to confirm their drivers are Force India, Caterham and Marussia, although the latter have a deal in place for Jules Bianchi to continue for another year.

As for the rest, namely Paul di Resta, Adrian Sutil, Charles Pic, Giedo van der Garde and Max Chilton, the future is uncertain. <<source>>

F1 2013 Austin -Texas Track Update

Now you can download a new track update for United States GP - Austin, Texas. Track update of Circuit of the Americas- Austin, Texas for F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters. Full HD track update including all sponsors.

The 5.516km, 20-turn track provides a stern challenge for drivers, with several elevation changes that weave slower, technical sections with fast, sweeping turns.

 The hallmark of the track is that architects tried to incorporate all of the best elements of circuits around the world in one layout.

Turn One shares a likeness to the steep nature of Eau Rouge at Belgium's Spa Francorchamps while Turns Two and Three are similar to the Senna S in Interlagos in Brazil.

The high-speed sweeping turns of Four, Five and Six are remarkably similar to the Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel complex at Silverstone, while Turns 12-14 echo the stadium section at Germany's Hockenheim. Turns 16 to 18 look a little like Istanbul Park's multi-apex Turn 8.

The best overtaking place looks to be Turn 12, which comes after a long back straight.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Vettel dominates again

Sebastian Vettel snubbed his nose at officialdom after winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, his eleventh triumph of the season thus far, and celebrating with a series of donuts on the slowdown lap - much to the delight of the packed stands - in defiance of the reprimand he received after doing the same thing in India a week earlier.

Vettel, recently crowned F1 world champion for the fourth time in a row, was simply in a league of his own around the sparkling Yas Marina Circuit as he powered into the lead, from second place on the grid, into Turn 1 and thereafter building a gap which he was to maintain and control until the chequered flag. Never challenged, never threatened, another cruise.

He won by a whopping 30.8 seconds, which would have been much more had he been going flat out in the final stages of the race. And thus the story of his remarkable run of seven wins on the trot. <<Read more>>

How Vettel can claim the title in India

Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel is on the verge of a fourth successive world title at the Buddh International Circuit, but what are the permutations? GPUpdate.net has put together a brief reminder ahead of what could be another historic day for Formula 1.

Vettel will claim the title if:

• Alonso wins, with Vettel fifth or higher
• Alonso finishes second, with Vettel eighth or higher
• Alonso finishes third or lower
• Alonso retires from the race

Red Bull can also claim a fourth consecutive Constructors' title, providing the Milton Keynes-based outfit leaves India with a 129-point advantage over main rivals Ferrari. <<source>>

Suzuka - Japan Grand Prix Track Update

Here's a track update of the the Suzuka Circuit - Japan for F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters.

In what is becoming a typical story on the opening day of grand prix weekends: Red Bull played second fiddle to Mercedes in the morning FP1 session, but by the end of the afternoon the blue cars were on top of the timing screens – ditto the opening day of the Japanese Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber leading the way, with the triple World Champion fastest of all.

Vettel was the only driver to break into the 93 second zone, around the iconic Suzuka venue, with his best time of 1:33.652,which was 0.168 up on teammate Mark Webber.

As had been the case in the morning, the session was punctuated by a number of drivers being caught out by the circuit’s demands.

Earlier Marussia had announced Jules Bianchi would take no part in FP2, his chassis having been too badly damaged to be repaired in time, so only 21 cars went out for the early runs.

Having had a truncated opening session, Pastor Maldonado lost more time in the afternoon. Eleven minutes into FP2 he overshot at the second Degner and went into the barrier. When his Williams was cleared the track was only clear for a short time before McLaren’s Sergio Pérez ran wide on the entrance to Spoon and careened into the wall.

The yellow flags for Pérez heralded a general return to the pitlane, with most drivers shedding the Hard tyres and changing to the Medium compound for the first time in the day. Times immediately began to fall, though the extra grip did not seem to reduce the hazard.

Fernando Alonso spun at Degner but avoided hitting anything solid. Meanwhile, Webber lapped untroubled and rose to P1 with a time of 1:34.020. That benchmark stood only for a minute before Vettel arrived and became the first man under 1m34s, with a lap of 1:33.852.

Behind the Red Bulls other front-runners, also on fresh Mediums, were doing their quickest laps of the session. Nico Rosberg was third fastest for Mercedes, ahead of Kimi Räikkönen and Romain Grosjean for Lotus respectively. <<source>>

F1 2013 Korea Track Update

Here's a track update of the the Korea International Circuit - Yeongam for F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters.

Sebastian Vettel took a step closer to his fourth world title as he powered to a commanding victory in the Korean Grand Prix, claiming his fourth win in a row and a hat-trick at the Mokpo venue on a day where the excitement came from numerous incidents, prompting a couple of Safety Car periods which spiced up an otherwise dull afternoon on which the world champion elect was never threatened.

There was also the unexpected appearance of a track marshals’ vehicle on the track, which coupled to a number of incidents along the way made the race in the nearly empty venue slightly less boring.

Vettel now has a 77 point lead at the top of the table. With five races remaining, it is merely a matter of when exactly the 26 year old German will bag his fourth title. The mathematics of the current situation is such that Vettel will take the title in Japan next Sunday if he wins and Alonso finishes lower than eighth. <<source>>
