F1 2013 Storm 2 (Real Weather)

A new weather mod for F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters - Storm 2 which brings you much more realistic weather - rain sprays, water droplets and tire brake smoke in dry weather. Thanks to Vlasovas and all other modders who were involved  in this project and created this fantastic mod.

Storm 2 mod was created with intent to improve the effects of smoke in the dry weather conditions and rain sprays in the wet weather conditions and also of improvements in the water droplets on the screen.

Regarding the rain spray, this year's is very limited. Codemasters did not leave a free field as in previous years, some sprays and smokes do not appear in rear cameras, watching replay the spray is very intermittent, and these problems are caused by the game engine itself.

This mod also contains the works of Zeno DYK ( 4 drops versions ) Kadosh54 ( La Plata ) ( 1 Spray version ) this mod is varied to the taste of each player of F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters, not only for those who like to see the track!

Gives a good improvement in the visualization of sprays on track in replay mode, and slope of the rain, to one side only, since the beginning of the race, and increased the amount of drops of water puddles, with more realistic droplets also.

Romain Grosjean 2013 United States GP Helmet

Here's a new Romain Grosjean’s helmet skin mod like he was wearing at the United States Grand Prix. Helmet look almost real, but shame that the helmets can't get reflection levels like the cars in F1 2013 by codemasters (example; chrome, gloss etc ) so if it would be possible this helmet would be really realistic.

Grosjean’s helmet is a tribute to the late Steve McQueen, who was a famous American actor turned race car driver. Grosjean, has opted to honour actor Steve McQueen, of ‘The Great Escape’ and ‘Bullitt’ fame. McQueen was a keen motor racing enthusiast and also starred in the 1970 movie ‘Le Mans’, based on the classic 24 hour endurance race. The Lotus driver’s design is based on McQueen’s white overalls - with the red, white and blue stripes – that he donned in the ‘Le Mans’ film.

DESCRIPTION

Felipe Massa 2013 Brazilian GP Helmet

Here's a Felipe Massa’s helmet skin mod for F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters. A helmet like he was using at last weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix, for his home race and the last race of his time at Ferrari. The helmet  is red and entirely given over to his history with the Scuderia Ferrari. The special edition helmet, bears all the significant numbers of the Brazilian’s time in red: one year as a test driver, eight as a race driver, 139 races, eleven wins, fifteen pole positions and fourteen fastest laps.

DESCRIPTION

Done in HD (4096x4096)  and DHD (8192x8192) sizes. Files are clearly marked in the download file. Will replace GEN_10 in bespoke helmets. Note that this helmet is only for a career mode.

F1 2013 Sao Paulo - Brazil Track Update

A new track update of  Interlagos Circuit - Sao Paulo, Brazil for F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters. Full sponsor and tarmac update.

Sebastian Vettel wants to end the Formula 1 season with a record win, while Red Bull team mate Mark Webber would love to call time on his 12-year grand prix career with a final victory – and this is just one of a myriad of farewells which is set to turn the weekend in Brazil into a tearjerker.

Finale in Brazil set to be tearjerker weekend of farewells and uncertain futures.

There can be only one winner of Sunday’s season-ending race at the ramshackle amphitheatre that is Sao Paulo’s Interlagos circuit, but the outcome may not be quite as predictable as recent form would suggest.

Williams-bound Brazilian Felipe Massa will race for the last time for Ferrari, after being with the Italian team since 2006, while the V8 engines will scream one last time before the new era of turbocharged V6 units is ushered in.

Whether it will also be the end of Ross Brawn’s time as Mercedes team principal, or a farewell for various drivers currently unsure about their futures, will be decided further down the road.

Mexico’s Sergio Perez will be in the cockpit of his McLaren for the final time in a race that will also mark the end of the team’s partnership with mobile phone operator Vodafone.

Pastor Maldonado, who last year ended Williams’ win drought, is also departing and seeking new pastures along with a bundle of Venezuelan petro-cash for a race seat.

At Lotus Kimi Raikkonen has already departed and though Heikki Kovalainen has replaced his fellow Finn, there is no guarantee that he will be racing in a black and gold car next year.

Neither Sauber driver is assured of a race seat next year with the team, although Nico Hulkenberg has impressed enough to almost be guaranteed a place on the grid next year. But it is not certain that the talented German will remain with the Swiss outfit.

At Toro Rosso Daniel Ricciardo will be driving one last time for the Faenza squad, as he has been promoted to the Red Bull ‘senior’ team where he will partner Sebastian Vettel.

Yet to confirm their drivers are Force India, Caterham and Marussia, although the latter have a deal in place for Jules Bianchi to continue for another year.

As for the rest, namely Paul di Resta, Adrian Sutil, Charles Pic, Giedo van der Garde and Max Chilton, the future is uncertain. <<source>>

Here's a new custom car skin for Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team, based on Thomas  Sabo Mercedes AMG DTM team. Car is done in SD, HD and DHD resolutions.

Thomas Sabo, a long-term sponsor and partner of the Mercedes-Benz DTM team, is yet another brand deepening its association with the manufacturer in 2013. The jewellery and watch company was sponsoring one of the AMG C-Coupé models competing in this year’s German Touring Car Masters season. Roberto Merhi was the pilot of the special Thomas Sabo Mercedes, which was featuring the brand’s logo and colour scheme across its body.

The 2013 FIA Formula 1 World Championship draws to a close in Brazil this weekend. The season finale takes place at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, one of the oldest and most atmospheric venues on the calendar, and a track at which McLaren has enjoyed much success over the years.

The circuit is named after Jose Carlos Pace, who raced under the shorter name of Carlos Pace for Surtees and Brabham in the 1970s, winning his home grand prix in a Brabham in 1975. He was killed in a private aircraft accident in 1977, and had been a great friend of fellow Brazilian racer Emerson Fittipaldi, to whom Interlagos also means a huge amount: he won his home grand prix in 1973 (in a Lotus) and 1974 (in a McLaren). Emerson won McLaren’s first ever F1 World Championship in 1974.

There have been several iterations of the circuit since it was built in the Sao Paolo precinct of Interlagos in 1940. The current anti-clockwise layout dates back to 1990 and, despite being resurfaced regularly, the marshy topography results in its being decidedly bumpy and therefore physically demanding for the drivers.

From a technical point of view, the circuit’s 800-metre altitude has a detrimental effect on car performance. Engines lose seven percent of their power compared with sea level, and aerodynamic addenda are less effective, which places even greater emphasis on mechanical grip.

As was the case at last weekend’s United States Grand Prix, where Jenson Button and Sergio Perez both finished in the points, Pirelli will take their Medium and Hard compounds to the race.

Jenson has good memories of racing in Brazil. He scored his first World Championship point at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace in 2000; he clinched the World title at the track in ’09, and he scored his most recent victory there last year. F1 2013 Austin -Texas Track Update

Now you can download a new track update for United States GP - Austin, Texas. Track update of Circuit of the Americas- Austin, Texas for F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters. Full HD track update including all sponsors.

The 5.516km, 20-turn track provides a stern challenge for drivers, with several elevation changes that weave slower, technical sections with fast, sweeping turns.

 The hallmark of the track is that architects tried to incorporate all of the best elements of circuits around the world in one layout.

Turn One shares a likeness to the steep nature of Eau Rouge at Belgium's Spa Francorchamps while Turns Two and Three are similar to the Senna S in Interlagos in Brazil.

The high-speed sweeping turns of Four, Five and Six are remarkably similar to the Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel complex at Silverstone, while Turns 12-14 echo the stadium section at Germany's Hockenheim. Turns 16 to 18 look a little like Istanbul Park's multi-apex Turn 8.

The best overtaking place looks to be Turn 12, which comes after a long back straight.

Grosjean Senna Tribute Helmet HD&DHD

Lotus Chairman Gerard Lopez says Kimi Raikkonen has helped Romain Grosjean's development

Lotus team Chairman Gerard Lopez has credited Kimi Raikkonen as playing a crucial role in Romain Grosjean's emergence as a frontunning Formula 1 driver.

The Frenchman has scored podium finishes in the last three races.

Raikkonen, who was himself sixth fastest, is leaving Lotus at the end of the season to rejoin Ferrari and Lopez admitted that they will miss the 2007 World Champion.

Citing the presence of "one of the best ever drivers in Formula 1" as motivation for the team to build the best possible car, Lopez also told the team's website that Raikkonen, who has won two races for Lotus since his comeback besides scoring a record-breaking string of points finishes, has fitted in well with the team.

Yet, according to Lopez, "the third thing he did is helped Romain to develop as a driver in a way he perhaps wouldn't have otherwise. Had Romain been next to a more junior driver, or a less capable driver, we probably would still not know how good Romain is. <<Read More>>

Vettel's 2013 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Helmet

Here's a Seb's 2013 Abu Dhabi - 24carat IV times World Champion helmet for F1 2013 ™ by Codemasters.

Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel wore a specially designed helmet for the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix qualifying and race days features 24 carat gold.

Vettel, who has already wrapped up the 2013 title to make it four in a row.

A week after the German notched up his fourth consecutive Drivers’ title in India, he has travelled to the Abu Dhabi with a special helmet livery to wear for the race in celebration of the achievement. 

Red Bull driver’s helmet painter Jens Munser only needed two days to prepare the design.

But surely the gold leaf made the helmet much more expensive than usual for Vettel, who has reportedly been paid a €5 million bonus by Red Bull for winning the title?

“No, it costs €5 000, with or without the gold,” said Peter Burger, of Vettel’s helmet manufacturer, Arai.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: Vettel dominates again

Sebastian Vettel snubbed his nose at officialdom after winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, his eleventh triumph of the season thus far, and celebrating with a series of donuts on the slowdown lap - much to the delight of the packed stands - in defiance of the reprimand he received after doing the same thing in India a week earlier.

Vettel, recently crowned F1 world champion for the fourth time in a row, was simply in a league of his own around the sparkling Yas Marina Circuit as he powered into the lead, from second place on the grid, into Turn 1 and thereafter building a gap which he was to maintain and control until the chequered flag. Never challenged, never threatened, another cruise.

He won by a whopping 30.8 seconds, which would have been much more had he been going flat out in the final stages of the race. And thus the story of his remarkable run of seven wins on the trot. <<Read more>>
